From PKM Nerd to Thought Shepherd: My Creative Detour
I started out obsessed with tools. But creating week after week uncovered something deeper: a love for cultivating a rich thought life.
I began on YouTube geeking out about PKM — tools, workflows, shiny apps.
I still love them.
But somewhere along the way, I took an unexpected turn. Creating every week didn’t just teach me how to use better software.
It revealed my real obsession: building a rich inner world of ideas — the kind that shapes who I’m becoming and gives me something meaningful to offer when the moment comes.
For me, a rich thought life looks like:
Long walks
Journaling what I notice
Slow, soul-filling conversations
Learning from nature
Sharing ideas out loud
Reading Scripture — ancient words still alive today
Connecting one idea with another (like the day Psalm 1’s meditate day and night lit up when I remembered Romans 10:17: faith comes by hearing the Word of God)
I didn’t need to package that connection or turn it into a product.
The joy was in seeing it.
That single spark was enough to make my inner world richer.
And that’s the point.
Consistent creation is clarifying
Jeremy Riddle once said, “If you want to find out who you are, go create.”
He’s right.
You make things — videos, posts, tiny tools — and somewhere along the way your own voice surfaces.
Mine says:
You’re on a journey to cultivate a rich thought life.
You love exploring ideas for their own sake.
You want to invite fellow travelers.
It’s not a mission to convert anyone to a method.
It’s a journey we can walk together.
A small idea
I imagine a monthly gathering:
no slides, no pressure, just a handful of us showing up with one idea we’ve discovered.
We share. We connect dots. We leave richer inside than when we arrived.
A tiny campfire for deep thinkers.
A place to practice seeing → shaping → sharing.
Maybe more on that in the future.
Support the Journey
If my work has sparked a thought or two in you and you’d like to help me keep tending this little corner of the internet, you can 👉 buy me a book — a simple way to say “keep going.”
Your support helps me spend more time creating, exploring, and sharing the kinds of ideas that make for a richer thought life.
P.S. Reply and tell me what’s been feeding your thought life lately — a verse, a book, a small observation.
I’ll keep showing up here each week, creating, evolving, and learning who I’m becoming.
