Trails #6: On candles that set deadlines, leaves that whisper wisdom & remixing ideas
Ideas, thoughts & moments that made me go "woah".
Oct 25, 2025
Hey idea shepherd,
Welcome to Trails — a weekly stroll through the things that made me stop and say “Whoa.”
If you want to try the tool I use to catch these sparks and think with them, here’s my link to Sublime . It’s the only tool where you can save 1 idea and find 100 more….seriously.
I saw this on a walk recently. What a way to communicate how each of us are at different stages in life. Can’t think of a better visual.
The back of a leaf is just as beautiful as the front.
A thought I had when encountering a lofi version of a song I really liked. Ideas are everywhere!
Sari Azout posted this on Substack recently. What a creative way to put constraints on your next writing sesh or creative project.
An rough draft of an idea that started with a photo of a Osage orange. I saw the seeds (the potential) after it broke open. The photo of the orange was saved and then resurfaced later. The power of revisiting your notes and an app that surfaces ideas for you. Thank you Sublime. :)
That’s it for this week.
Keep stewarding your ideas well.
