I’m Thinking About Making This. Would You Read It?
A Companion for Idea Lovers (That You Can Hold in Your Hands)
I’ve been thinking about making something you can hold in your hands.
Not another Substack post or digital thing to skim.
A physical book.
A quiet companion for fellow idea shepherds—
the kind of book you bring to a park bench, a road trip, a creative retreat.
Here’s what I’m imagining:
Short-form essays like the ones I write here
A few never-before-shared “hidden track” essays — things I’ve written, but never released
Crosshatch-style sketches to bring the ideas to life
Occasional prompts for reflection or conversation
QR codes that link to curated Spotify songs (read while you listen)
Possibly seasonal themes (like a quarterly or annual volume)
Think: Substack meets a sketchbook meets your favorite hidden-track album.
Love the idea of a book that invites the reader to interact and reflect. Leave room or create a place for the reader to reflect. When they are finished, they will have discovered their unique perspective. It's less about reading the author's thoughts and more about the author guiding the reader through their thoughts.
P.S. Make it a hardcover so it endures and feels less like a book and more like a tool for the mind.
I will be looking forward to the preview, thank you.
